Election Shockwave! ED Targets 2 Top Bengal Ministers; Big Trouble for Ruling Party?

In a major development ahead of the upcoming elections, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its probe into the West Bengal Municipality Recruitment Scam. The central agency has summoned two heavyweight cabinet ministers, Sujit Bose and Rathin Ghosh, for questioning.
Following the investigation into MLA Jibankrishna Saha, the ED is now focusing on the financial irregularities involving these high-profile ministers. Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose and Food & Supplies Minister Rathin Ghosh have been asked to appear before the investigators. Earlier, ED had conducted extensive searches at Rathin Ghosh’s residence, while Sujit Bose’s name surfaced during the ongoing probe. This dual summons at such a crucial political juncture has sparked a massive political row in the state, with the ruling party alleging “political vendetta” and the opposition demanding immediate accountability.
