‘Outsiders Being Shipped from Gujarat to Riot!’ Mamata’s Explosive Claim on Malda Unrest

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has leveled serious allegations regarding the recent unrest in Malda’s Mothabari, claiming a deep-rooted conspiracy involving “outsiders.” Speaking at a rally in South Dinajpur on Friday, she alleged that people are being brought in buses from Gujarat to incite communal violence in Bengal. In a more startling claim, she accused the CRPF of using their vehicles to transport illegal cash, stating she possesses voice recordings as evidence.

Targeting a “nexus” between the BJP, Congress, and AIMIM, Mamata asserted that minorities are being deliberately provoked to split votes and benefit the BJP. “MIM has been brought in to repeat the Bihar model in Bengal,” she remarked. Amidst the ongoing NIA probe, she proudly declared that the State CID had already arrested the kingpin, Mofakkerul Islam, at Bagdogra airport before the federal agency could even start its operations.

ADG (North Bengal) K. Jayaraman confirmed that Mofakkerul and his aide Akramul were tracked down using digital analytics while they were attempting to flee to Bengaluru. So far, 35 arrests have been made and 19 FIRs filed in connection with the Mothabari violence. With the 2026 elections approaching, these allegations have triggered a massive political showdown between the State and the Centre.
