CID Beats NIA in Kaliachak Probe! Mamata Banerjee Slams Commission, Claims State Police Supremacy

TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has once again targeted the Election Commission over the recent unrest in Kaliachak. Speaking from a rally in Harirampur, she reminded the crowd that although the administration is currently under the Commission’s jurisdiction, the state police remain more proactive than ever.
In a direct swipe at central agencies, the Chief Minister pointed out that the State CID arrested a MIM leader in connection with the Kaliachak incident even before the NIA could reach Malda. “Our CID nabbed the accused before the NIA arrived,” she declared, a statement seen by political analysts as an assertion of the state’s investigative prowess over central bodies.
Banerjee further alleged a deeper conspiracy behind the Mothabari incident, accusing the BJP, MIM, and Congress of working together to incite violence. She claimed this “unholy alliance” is attempting to destabilize the region ahead of the polls.
