Renowned actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya, a familiar face in Hindi cinema and web series, was recently spotted shooting in the heart of Kolkata. For the “local boy,” returning to the city felt like stepping back into his comfort zone. While shooting at iconic locations, he reminisced about watching movies at the legendary ‘Navina’ cinema hall.

A true foodie at heart, Dibyendu didn’t miss out on Kolkata’s famous kachoris, biryanis, and Chelo Kebabs. However, amidst the nostalgia, he expressed a deep desire to work more in Bengali films. “I want Bengali cinema to expand its horizons again, just like the era of Satyajit Ray and Rituparno Ghosh when our films won international acclaim,” he stated.

When asked about the political heat ahead of the assembly elections, the actor took a witty swipe, saying, “Politics has become a form of entertainment now. It’s generating content for the masses. Why so serious?” Apart from his duty to vote, he remains detached from the political frenzy, wishing only for the nation’s progress.
