A powerful suicide car bomb attack rocked the Bannu district of Pakistan’s northwestern province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, late Thursday night. The attack targeted a police station in the Domel tehsil area, causing widespread destruction and panic. According to police sources, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle directly into the station, triggering a massive blast that was heard miles away.

The attack claimed at least 5 lives, including 3 women and a child. Furthermore, at least 4 policemen were reported injured and have been shifted to nearby medical facilities. The impact of the explosion was so severe that several residential buildings in the vicinity were also damaged. Immediate gunfire followed the blast, escalating the tension in the region. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a high-level investigation is underway as rescue operations continue.
