‘Living in Hell!’ Rudranil Ghosh Hits the Streets of Shibpur, Records Viral Video in Stagnant Water

The election campaign in Howrah’s Shibpur took a dramatic turn as BJP candidate Rudranil Ghosh expressed his outrage over the pathetic state of civic infrastructure. While conducting a door-to-door campaign, the actor-turned-politician was confronted with overflowing drains and stagnant sewage water in the residential lanes.
In a symbolic protest, Rudranil stood in the murky water and recorded a video for social media, directly blaming the TMC-led administration for the crisis. He alleged that rampant corruption and the state government’s interference in municipal affairs have turned Shibpur into a “living hell” for its residents.
“This is the reality of TMC’s development,” Rudranil remarked while interacting with locals. As the video goes viral, it has triggered a fresh political slugfest in Howrah, with the BJP making urban decay a key poll plank against the ruling party.
