Massive Face-off in Bhawanipore! Amit Shah Joins Suvendu’s Nomination Rally

High drama unfolded in the heart of Kolkata as Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari for his nomination filing in the Bhawanipore constituency. The event turned into a massive political showdown as the rally passed through the high-security zone of Kalighat, near the residences of CM Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee.
Tensions flared when TMC supporters, wearing black bands on their heads, staged a massive protest against the BJP heavyweights. The atmosphere turned volatile with aggressive sloganeering from both sides, forcing a heavy police contingent led by DC South to intervene and disperse the crowd.
Addressing a packed gathering, Amit Shah threw a direct challenge to the ruling party, stating, “I am here for all four candidates, but specifically for Suvendu. To liberate Bengal, a massive victory in Bhawanipore is essential.” Before the rally, Suvendu welcomed Shah with an image of Goddess Kali. With Suvendu contesting from both Nandigram and Bhawanipore, this nomination process has set the stage for one of the most fiercest electoral battles in West Bengal’s history.
