Did actor Rahul Banerjee foresee his end? The chilling mystery behind his last dubbing session!

It is often said that a person gets a premonition of their own end. The untimely demise of popular actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee seems to have turned this old folk belief into a haunting reality. During the dubbing of director Souvik De’s upcoming film ‘ICU’, Rahul made a cryptic comment that has now left the entire Tollywood industry in shock. Just two days before heading to his mega-serial shoot, Rahul had finished his work for the film, unaware that these would be his final professional moments.
Speaking with a heavy heart, director Souvik De shared, “It is incredibly hard to believe that Rahul Da is no longer with us. Just a few days ago, we were laughing and sharing stories. He had a special emotional connection with this film. During the dubbing session, he jokingly remarked— ‘Maybe this is my last film. You guys won’t understand…’ At that time, we laughed it off as a joke. None of us could fathom the depth or the irony behind those words.”
Souvik added, “Rahul Da was not just a phenomenal actor but a wonderful human being. His presence on the set used to bring a unique energy. His dedication and the depth of his performance will remain etched in every frame of this film. Personally, I have lost a mentor and a fellow warrior. While he may not be among us, his work and memories will live on forever.”
The film ‘ICU’ revolves around a gripping plot where three young men pull a prank to escape their landlord’s wrath. The prank goes viral, leading them to reinvent themselves as paranormal influencers. However, their web of lies eventually threatens to consume their lives, careers, and conscience. Apart from Rahul Banerjee, the film features a stellar cast including Sreelekha Mitra, Shreema Bhattacherjee, and Aryan Bhowmik. The story and screenplay are penned by Abhishek Bhattacharya. Rahul’s final performance is now awaited by fans as a poignant tribute to his legacy.
