Mamata’s Marathon Campaign in Medinipur, CM to Address Back-to-Back Rallies in Chandrakona & Garbeta

The battle for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections has reached its peak as the first phase of polling on April 23 approaches. Following National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s extensive tours, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken center stage to lead the party’s campaign. After addressing successful rallies in Narayangarh and Debra yesterday, the TMC Supremo is focusing on Chandrakona, Garbeta, and Bishnupur today.

The Chief Minister is currently addressing a massive gathering at the Charkdanga ground in Khirpai, campaigning for TMC candidate Surjyakanta Dolui from the Chandrakona constituency. Her itinerary for the day also includes a major rally in Garbeta to support candidate Uttara Singh (Hazra). Following her engagements in West Midnapore, she will proceed to Bishnupur in Bankura for another leg of the campaign before heading to Durgapur in the evening.

With Phase 1 covering critical districts like West Midnapore, East Midnapore, Purulia, and Bankura, these rallies are crucial for the ruling Trinamool Congress to consolidate its base. CM Mamata’s direct outreach is drawing thousands of supporters, signaling a fierce showdown between the TMC and its rivals in the upcoming electoral battle.
