Murshidabad Horror: Police Extortion Lead to Fatal Crash? 28 School Kids Injured in Palashi

A horrific road accident took place in the Palashi area of Kaliganj, Murshidabad, where a private school vehicle rammed into the back of a stationary dumper on the National Highway. The crash left approximately 28 young students injured, with 8 of them currently in critical condition. The critically injured children have been rushed to the Murshidabad Medical College for emergency treatment.

Local residents alleged that the mishap occurred because the police intercepted the dumper for “extortion purposes.” The sudden halting of the heavy vehicle caused the trailing school van to lose control and collide. Following the accident, the area turned into a battlefield as angry locals blocked the National Highway in protest. Scuffles broke out between the police and the public as the authorities struggled to contain the agitated crowd. While tension remains high in the area, the police department has yet to release an official statement regarding the allegations.
