‘Baseless Lies!’ Iran Slams Trump’s Talks Claim, Puts Troops on High Alert for War

Tehran has officially dismissed claims made by President Donald Trump regarding potential negotiations as “entirely baseless.” The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a stern rebuttal, clarifying that no discussions, back-channel or otherwise, are currently taking place between the two nations. This sharp response comes amid escalating rhetoric in the Middle East, as Iran reaffirms its commitment to its current geopolitical trajectory.

According to Iranian officials, Trump’s assertions are viewed as a calculated political move rather than a reflection of reality. “There is no agenda for talks with an administration that has consistently violated international norms,” a spokesperson stated. The Iranian leadership emphasized that their policy remains unchanged despite the shifting political landscape in the West, asserting that Washington must first demonstrate a fundamental shift in its hostile approach.

Simultaneously, Iran has ramped up its military presence in the strategic southern waters of the Persian Gulf. The focus remains on three key islands—Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb—over which Iran asserts full sovereignty. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that ground and naval units are positioned to defend these territories against any perceived threats.

The military escalation is seen as a “ready-for-combat” signal to international observers. High-ranking military commanders noted that Iranian forces are conducting intensive surveillance and readiness drills. “Our troops are ready to safeguard our territorial integrity at a moment’s notice,” a military statement read. This defiant posture highlights Iran’s resolve to maintain its strategic dominance in the Gulf, a vital corridor for global energy supplies, while shutting the door on what it calls “misleading American narratives.”
