“No Place for Guns in Democracy!” Amit Shah Issues Final Warning to Left-Wing Extremists

In a powerful address in Parliament, Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a stern warning to Left-Wing Extremists (LWE), asserting that the era of violent insurgency is nearing its end. Shah emphasized that the Indian government would not tolerate any ideology that seeks to overthrow the Constitution through the barrel of a gun. “Bullets have no place in a vibrant democracy like India,” he declared, signaling a multi-pronged offensive against Naxalism.

Presenting data on internal security, the Home Minister noted a significant shrinkage of the ‘Red Corridor’ over the past few years. He stated that the government’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy has broken the backbone of Maoist finance and supply chains. “Our security forces have been given a clear mandate: flush out the remnants of these anti-national elements. Those who wish to surrender and join the mainstream are welcome, but those who continue to wield weapons will face a crushing response,” Shah added.

Political analysts view Shah’s statement as a precursor to an intensified security operation in LWE-affected districts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jharkhand. Beyond military might, the Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to development, including the construction of roads, telecom towers, and schools in tribal belts to alienate extremists from local communities. The Home Minister’s unwavering stance in Parliament reaffirms the administration’s resolve to eliminate Left-Wing Extremism by providing a blend of robust security and grassroots development.
