Tollywood in Shock! Actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee Passes Away During Serial Shoot

The Bengali entertainment industry is reeling from the sudden and tragic demise of popular actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. The 43-year-old actor, best known for his iconic debut in ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Amar,’ reportedly passed away following an accident during a shoot in Talsari, near Digha. He was in the middle of filming for his upcoming series, ‘Bhole Baba Paar Karega.’

The incident occurred late Sunday afternoon when Rahul had reportedly entered the water for a scene. Preliminary reports suggest that he was swept away by a sudden tidal surge. Although technical staff and locals managed to pull him out and rush him to the nearest medical facility, he was declared dead upon arrival. The primary cause of death is suspected to be drowning.

Rahul’s career was a mix of critical acclaim and commercial success, spanning over 18 years in both films and television. His chemistry with co-star and former wife Priyanka Sarkar remains legendary in Bengali cinema.
