Senior TMC leaders addressed the media today, pointing out that constituencies where voter turnout was high and support for the government was evident are being unfairly targeted. “It is suspicious that re-polling is being discussed only for those booths where our victory is certain. This is an attempt to harass voters and manipulate the final outcome,” a party insider stated. The party suggests that these demands for re-polling are often based on fabricated reports of violence or irregularities.
