The Wait is Over, PM Modi Sets the Date for Bengal Election Campaign Post-Brigade Rally

Speculations regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election campaign in West Bengal have finally been put to rest. The BJP confirmed on Friday that PM Modi will officially launch his campaign from North Bengal’s Alipurduar on April 5. Following his powerful “Call for Change” at the Brigade Parade Ground on March 14, this will be his first major appearance after the poll dates were announced.

North Bengal has been a reliable fortress for the BJP since 2019, and with the first phase of polling scheduled for late April, the party is leaving no stone unturned. While local leaders initially hoped for a Ram Navami start, the April 5 date has been finalized to maximize impact. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrives in Bengal today to escalate the heat by releasing a ‘charge sheet’ against the ruling TMC.
