The uncertainty surrounding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Andal ended this afternoon following a series of schedule revisions. Reversing the earlier decision to travel by road, the Chief Minister is now set to fly to Andal from Kolkata. According to airport sources, her flight is scheduled to depart at 2:10 PM.

Earlier today, the trip was shrouded in confusion when reports surfaced that the flight had been cancelled due to potential weather hazards. Plans were initially made for a road journey to ensure her arrival at the destination. However, the situation took a turn after a fresh assessment from Air Traffic Control (ATC).

The ATC report confirmed that there is currently no threat of inclement weather, providing a clear window for the flight. Immediately following this clearance, a revised schedule was dispatched to the airport. Officials stated that the decision to stick to the air route was made to ensure the Chief Minister could complete her scheduled tasks promptly. All arrangements at the airport are now in place for her departure.
