Salim Unmasks SIR Scam? Left Parties Announce Massive Protest on March 30-31 Across Bengal!

The controversy surrounding the Special Investment Region (SIR) in West Bengal has taken a fresh turn as the Left Front, led by CPIM State Secretary Md. Salim, announced a massive statewide agitation. Salim claimed that his party has finally identified the “real cause” behind the harassment faced by common people due to land issues related to the SIR project. Consequently, the Left Front has chalked out a significant plan for March 30 and 31.
According to Salim, the government is exploiting the jargon of industrial development to deprive farmers of their livelihoods. “We have seen the patterns of harassment, and we will not let the common man suffer in the name of SIR,” Salim stated during a press briefing. However, political experts are raising questions about the timing of this move. With the project already in motion, many wonder if the Left’s intervention has come “too little, too late.”
The proposed plan for March 30-31 involves large-scale demonstrations at District Magistrate offices and block-level rallies. The Left Front aims to mobilize the rural vote bank by highlighting land security and transparency. While the government maintains that SIR is crucial for economic growth, Salim’s aggressive stance indicates a potential showdown at the end of the month. Whether this last-minute surge can halt the project or gain political traction remains to be seen.
