NDA Finalizes TN Seat Sharing! BJP to Contest 27 Seats in Alliance with AIADMK

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Monday finalized its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Following intense negotiations, the AIADMK has allocated 27 seats to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a significant increase from the 20 seats the saffron party contested in 2021. The pact was formally signed by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Union Minister Piyush Goyal at the party headquarters in Chennai.
As part of the broader alliance, the PMK will contest 18 seats, while TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK has been allotted 11 seats. The AIADMK will spearhead the battle by contesting 178 seats. Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that the people of Tamil Nadu would reject the DMK-Congress combine and give the NDA a resounding mandate. With polling scheduled for April 23, the BJP aims to consolidate its growing influence in the western and southern belts of the state through this strategic partnership.
