10K Per Video & ‘Lawrence Bishnoi’ WhatsApp Groups: Yogi Police Nab Masterminds in Major Anti-National Plot

In a massive blow to cross-border espionage, the Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested a female spy named Mira from Mathura, suspected of working for Pakistan’s ISI. This arrest marks a critical turning point in what investigators claim is the largest Pak-linked spy network ever uncovered in India, with the total number of accused reaching 14. Mira operated under a clever disguise as an e-rickshaw driver in Mathura, which allowed her to move undetected while facilitating illegal arms smuggling and maintaining contact with criminals on behalf of her handlers in Pakistan.

The investigation revealed a chilling modus operandi: the cell installed solar-powered, SIM-based CCTV cameras at sensitive locations, including Delhi Cantonment, Sonipat, and various railway stations. Live footage, high-resolution photos, and GPS coordinates were transmitted to Pakistan via WhatsApp groups with deceptive names like ‘Lawrence Bishnoi 007’. For every piece of intelligence, members were paid up to ₹10,000. The mastermind, Naushad Ali, specifically targeted economically vulnerable youth and minors (aged 15-17) with skills in mobile or computer repair, luring them with quick cash.

The crackdown began following a tip-off from a beat constable in Ghaziabad, leading to a series of raids starting March 14. While kingpins like Suhel Malik and female operative Mehek were arrested early on, the latest arrests of Mira and Naushad Ali have exposed the depth of the infiltration. Notably, Mira was previously arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell in 2025 but rejoined the network after her release. Indian intelligence agencies are now working to identify further sleepers associated with this sophisticated digital espionage ring.
