India’s Own S-400 is Ready! DRDO Successfully Tests ‘Project Kusha’ to Shield Indian Skies

In a significant boost to India’s national security and the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully conducted the critical trials of ‘Project Kusha’. This indigenous Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LRSAM) system is being hailed as India’s equivalent to the formidable Russian S-400 Triumf. The successful trial on March 22 marks a historic milestone in India’s journey toward total self-reliance in high-tech warfare.
The Power of Project Kusha: Project Kusha is designed to detect and destroy incoming enemy threats, including stealth fighter jets, cruise missiles, and heavy drones, at a range of up to 350 kilometers. The system features advanced multi-mission radars and an integrated command and control center that can track multiple targets simultaneously with pinpoint accuracy.
Geopolitical Impact: The success of Project Kusha reduces India’s dependence on foreign defense technology. Once inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF), this system will provide a robust multi-layered aerial umbrella over strategic locations along the LAC and LoC. Defense analysts believe that Project Kusha outclasses many Western systems in terms of cost-effectiveness and adaptability to Indian terrains. The mass production of this system is expected to commence shortly, making the Indian sky an impenetrable fortress for adversaries.
