‘ISF is No Factor in Bhangar!’ Saayoni Ghosh Fires Salvos at Naushad Siddiqui During Campaign Trail

The battle for Bhangar has officially turned high-voltage as Jadavpur MP Saayoni Ghosh hit the campaign trail on Sunday in support of TMC candidate Saokat Molla. Addressing a massive gathering at Jagulgachi, Saayoni dismissed any threat from the Indian Secular Front (ISF), boldly claiming that the party led by Naushad Siddiqui is “no longer a factor” in the constituency.
During her fiery speech, Saayoni targeted sitting MLA Naushad Siddiqui, challenging him to show any significant developmental work done in the last few years. “TMC is not a seasonal party; we serve the people 365 days a year under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee,” she stated. Highlighting Saokat Molla’s administrative track record, she claimed that 65 road projects were executed in a single day under his supervision. She further added that ₹1.80 crore from her MPLAD fund is currently being utilized for various projects in Bhangar.
The rally was seen as a major show of strength to pacify party workers who were reportedly upset after Saokat Molla was shifted from his stronghold in Canning East to the volatile Bhangar seat. Saayoni reminded the crowd of her 87,000-vote lead from Bhangar during the Lok Sabha polls, citing it as proof of the public’s unwavering support for the TMC. She also took a swipe at the BJP for attempting religious polarization. With Saayoni’s confident pitch, the TMC has made it clear that they intend to reclaim Bhangar from the ISF in the upcoming 2026 elections.
