In a horrifying case of domestic cruelty, a father and his second wife have been arrested in Lucknow for the murder of his 4-year-old son. The accused, Bhishma Kharbanda (35) and Ragini Kharbanda (30), were apprehended near Nehru Yuva Kendra following a complaint filed by the victim’s grandmother.

Details of the Case: The victim, Arnav, lost his biological mother years ago. According to the complaint filed by his maternal grandmother, Sudha Kashyap, the father and step-mother murdered the boy out of greed for property. When the relatives arrived at the couple’s Lajpat Nagar residence in the Chowk area on March 12, they discovered the child’s body covered in signs of severe abuse.

Police Investigation: Police reports reveal gruesome details of the torture, including multiple injury marks, bruises, and burn wounds on the child’s legs. Investigators believe the child was brutally beaten with household items, including a broom, rope, knife, and belt. An FIR has been registered at the Chowk Police Station. The sheer brutality of the crime has sparked widespread outrage across Lucknow.
