Safety First: CBSE Scraps Class 12 Board Exams as International Conflict Intensifies

The ongoing global conflicts have cast a dark shadow over the academic calendar. On March 15, 2026, the CBSE board announced the cancellation of the Class 12 examinations due to the worsening international situation. This decision comes as a response to the growing risks faced by students, particularly in overseas schools affiliated with the board. CBSE stated that holding physical examinations is no longer feasible under current conditions, and an alternative assessment scheme will be announced soon to ensure that students’ careers are not hindered by this delay.
