PM Modi Targets ‘Cruel’ TMC Government, Says Efforts to Stall Brigade Rally Failed Miserably

In a massive show of strength ahead of the 2026 Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a sea of supporters at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground on Sunday. Setting a definitive tone for the upcoming polls, the Prime Minister focused his attack entirely on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, avoiding individual attacks on Mamata or Abhishek Banerjee. Terming the current administration as a “ruthless regime,” Modi declared that the countdown for the end of “Maha-Jangalraj” (total lawlessness) in Bengal has officially begun.

The Prime Minister didn’t mince words while highlighting the alleged attempts by the state administration to hinder the rally. “The ruthless government tried everything to stop this gathering. They blocked bridges, attacked vehicles carrying supporters, created artificial traffic jams, and even tore down our posters. But they failed to realize that no force can stop this ocean of people. The residents of Bengal have decided to overthrow this oppressive rule,” Modi thundered from the podium.

Throughout his speech, PM Modi emphasized that the TMC has failed the people of Bengal on all fronts, from security to economic development. He remarked that the era of fear and corruption is nearing its end. “The countdown for the departure of this ruthless government has started today,” he added. The Prime Minister’s rally, which saw a record-breaking turnout, has sent a strong message to the ruling camp. Experts suggest that by framing the battle as a fight against systemic “ruthlessness” rather than individual leaders, the BJP aims to consolidate the anti-incumbency vote across the state for 2026.
