In a scene straight out of a thriller movie, a 18-year-old newlywed woman vanished from a bus stand in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, while her husband was busy buying snacks for her. Pritam, a resident of Amroha, was bringing his wife Rimjhim back from her parents’ home after the Holi holidays. While waiting for a connecting bus at Bilari bus stand, Rimjhim complained of hunger and asked for pakoras.

The moment Pritam stepped away to a nearby shop, Rimjhim reportedly got off the bus while talking to someone on her phone, as witnessed by fellow passengers. When Pritam returned with the snacks, his wife was nowhere to be found, and her phone was switched off. Desperate, Pritam approached the Moradabad police, suspecting that his wife of just four months has eloped with a local youth from her village. The police have launched a search operation to track the missing woman.
