The wait is finally over for millions of farmers across India. Today, March 13, the Central Government will release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to release a total of ₹18,640 crore at 5:00 PM from Guwahati, which will be directly credited to the bank accounts of over 9 crore farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Launched in 2019, this flagship scheme provides an annual financial support of ₹6,000 to eligible farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. Following 21 successful cycles, today’s credit marks another milestone in rural financial empowerment. Once the transfer is complete, beneficiaries will receive an SMS alert on their registered mobile numbers.

How to Check Eligibility? Beneficiaries can verify their status on the official website pmkisan.gov.in under the ‘Know Your Status’ section using their Aadhaar or mobile number. Farmers are reminded that mandatory eKYC and Aadhaar-linked bank accounts are essential to receive the funds. For cash withdrawals, nearby Common Service Centers (CSC) or DigiPay apps can be utilized.
