Amidst the escalating nationwide LPG crisis due to the West Asian conflict, a viral video featuring Sri Sri Ravishankar, the founder of ‘Art of Living’, has taken the internet by storm. In the clip, the spiritual leader discusses a groundbreaking innovation by a person named Mr. Mahesh—a stove that allegedly runs for six months on just half a liter of water.

The technology reportedly separates hydrogen and oxygen from water. The hydrogen is then used as a clean fuel for cooking, while the oxygen is released back into the atmosphere. Sri Sri Ravishankar noted that this system, which eliminates the need for LPG cylinders, will be first implemented in his Ashram to demonstrate its efficiency.

Simultaneously, the West Bengal government issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Thursday to ease public anxiety. The administration assured that essential services like Mid-Day Meals and hospital kitchens will have an uninterrupted gas supply. While domestic households remain a priority, commercial sectors like restaurants continue to struggle. As many switch to induction cooktops or traditional wood stoves, this ‘Water-to-Hydrogen’ technology has emerged as a sensational talking point in the fight against energy scarcity.
