A Victory for Mamata’s Struggle! After SC’s SIR Order, Abhishek Banerjee Shifts Focus to ‘Form 6’
Following the Supreme Court’s observations in the SIR (Voter List Revision) case, the Trinamool Congress has claimed a moral victory. Abhishek Banerjee, the party’s National General Secretary, attributed this to Mamata Banerjee’s persistent fight for electoral transparency. Immediately after the court’s stance, Abhishek has pivoted the party’s machinery towards ‘Form 6’—the official document for including new names in the electoral roll.
Abhishek has instructed party workers at the booth level to assist citizens in filling out Form 6, ensuring that no legitimate voter is left out of the list. By emphasizing the legal sanctity of the process post-SC intervention, Abhishek aims to counter the opposition’s narrative of “fake voters.” With the elections around the corner, this focus on Form 6 is seen as a strategic move to consolidate the party’s support base among new and young voters.
