World’s Longest Metro Section! Delhi’s 89-KM Magenta Line to Run Fully Driverless

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is all set to achieve a massive engineering milestone with the expansion of the Magenta Line. Spanning a total distance of 89 kilometers from Botanical Garden to Inderlok, this will become the longest corridor in the Delhi Metro network. Once fully operational, it will be one of the longest continuous metro sections globally and will feature fully autonomous, driverless train operations.

Interconnectivity at its Best: The expanded Magenta Line will consist of 65 stations, including 40 underground facilities. To ensure seamless connectivity across the NCR, the corridor will offer 21 interchange points. Major hubs like New Delhi, Azadpur, and Inderlok will serve as triple interchange stations, significantly reducing travel time for daily commuters.

A Masterpiece of Engineering: This corridor showcases the technical prowess of DMRC, featuring Haiderpur Badli Mor as the highest elevated station and Hauz Khas as the deepest underground station (29 meters) in the network. This expansion is part of Phase 4 and Phase 5A, aimed at providing a safer, faster, and more efficient public transport system for millions of residents.
