From Antyodaya to Self-Reliant India: How Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s Vision Guides PM Modi!

The philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the pioneer of ‘Integral Humanism’ and ‘Antyodaya,’ continues to serve as a beacon for India’s journey toward becoming a global superpower. On his death anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reflected on how the principles of serving the last man in the queue are being realized under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
Antyodaya: Empowering the Grassroots Upadhyay believed that true development is only achieved when its benefits reach the very last person in society. This spirit of ‘Antyodaya’ is the cornerstone of the current government’s mission of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” From the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign to the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, the essence of Pandit ji’s self-reliant India is evident in every national policy.
Madhya Pradesh’s Commitment: Farmer Welfare Year Aligning with Upadhyay’s emphasis on agriculture as the backbone of the Indian economy, the Madhya Pradesh government has dedicated the year 2025-26 to ‘Farmer Welfare.’ CM Mohan Yadav announced massive infrastructure projects, including the Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking projects, which will provide irrigation to over 1.6 million hectares. With the distribution of solar pumps to 30 lakh farmers and the expansion of irrigation to 10 million hectares, the state is turning Pandit ji’s vision of rural prosperity into a living reality. His legacy remains a guiding force for a strong, harmonious, and self-respecting India.
