The 100-Day Mystery Solved! Wife Turns Out to be Husband’s Killer, Used Daughters to Burn the Body!

In a spine-chilling revelation, the Jashpur police have cracked the mystery of a half-burnt unidentified body found nearly 100 days ago in the Turitongri forest. The investigation revealed that the victim’s own wife orchestrated the brutal murder and enlisted her two minor daughters to help dispose of the evidence.

A Faceless Corpse and DNA Clues The case began on October 18, 2025, when the charred remains of a young man were discovered in a pit. With the face and body severely burnt, identification was the biggest hurdle for the police. It was through advanced technical surveillance and a DNA match with the victim’s relatives that the body was finally identified as a man who had been missing since Diwali.

Brother’s Suspicion Blows the Cover The breakthrough came when the victim’s brother approached the police, noting that his sister-in-law showed zero concern about her missing husband. Investigations revealed a history of domestic strife, with the wife living separately in Jashpur. Forensic data proved the victim was last seen at his wife’s residence on the day of the incident.

A Family Affair in Crime Under intense interrogation, the wife confessed to killing her husband during a heated argument using a pickaxe (Gaiti). To cover up the crime, she, along with her two minor daughters and a neighbor’s minor son, transported the body to the forest and set it on fire using petrol. The police have seized the murder weapon, a petrol can, and a torch used during the crime. While the wife has been arrested, the minors involved are being dealt with according to the law.
