Breaking Silence on ‘Agnipath’ Controversy! Ex-Army Chief MM Naravane Speaks Out on His Memoir

Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General MM Naravane has finally addressed the widespread controversy surrounding his memoir, ‘Four Stars of Destiny’. The book sparked a massive political row after excerpts leaked online, suggesting that the ‘Agnipath’ recruitment scheme came as a “bolt from the blue” for the Navy and Air Force, and providing a detailed account of the Galwan standoff.

Speaking about the debate, General Naravane stated that the memoir is an honest account of his years in service and is intended to educate future leaders about military challenges. Addressing the concerns raised by the Ministry of Defence regarding certain sensitive portions, he clarified that he is cooperating with the standard review procedures. He emphasized that writing one’s experiences is a standard practice globally and should not be viewed through a purely political lens.
