Mystery Solved: Missing Japanese Tourists in Jaipur Safely Return to Japan! But Why the Panic?

The mystery surrounding the disappearance of two Japanese tourists in the Pink City has finally been unraveled. Jaipur Police confirmed today that Hibiki Shiba and Yuma, who went missing on February 7, have safely reached their home country. While their safety is a relief, the bizarre circumstances of their sudden departure have left the authorities puzzled and suspicious.

The Vanishing Act: The duo arrived in Delhi on a tourist visa on February 6 and reached Jaipur the next day via a pre-booked taxi. After checking into a hotel in Brahmapuri, they headed to a restaurant on Sahkar Marg for dinner. They asked the taxi driver to wait, leaving all their luggage in the vehicle. CCTV footage revealed they spent barely five minutes inside before exiting through another door and walking away. When they failed to return after several hours, the concerned driver approached the Ashok Nagar Police Station.

Investigation Continues: DCP Rajarshi Raj (Jaipur South) stated that digital footprints and documentation confirmed the duo reached Delhi on February 8 and immediately flew back to Japan. Interestingly, they had no outstanding dues with the hotel or the driver, as the tour was prepaid. However, the motive behind their “hasty retreat” remains unknown. “We are investigating why they left so abruptly without their belongings,” the DCP added. The police are now coordinating with the Japanese embassy to record their statements and close the case officially.
