In a spine-chilling incident reported from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, five members of a family were found dead inside their residence on Tuesday. A couple and their three minor children allegedly consumed milk laced with poison in a suspected mass suicide pact. The incident occurred in the Magorra police station area, leaving the entire neighborhood in a state of shock and mourning.

According to preliminary police reports, the family had been struggling with severe financial distress for the past few months. On the night of the incident, the parents reportedly mixed a lethal poisonous substance in milk, served it to their children, and then consumed it themselves. When neighbors noticed no movement in the house until late morning, they alerted the authorities. Upon breaking open the door, the police discovered the five bodies lying on the bed. No suicide note has been recovered so far, but forensic teams are analyzing the remains of the food and drink found at the scene. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation into possible foul play or abetment is ongoing.
