Law Student Sandeep Kaur Shot Dead In Classroom! Accused Classmate Prince On Ventilator After Suicide Bid

A chilling incident of murder and attempted suicide has rocked the Tarn Taran district of Punjab. Prince Raj, a law student at Mai Bhago Law College, shot his classmate Sandeep Kaur in the head inside their classroom before turning the gun on himself. While Sandeep died on the spot, Prince is currently battling for life at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.

Medical Status: Medical Superintendent Karamjit Singh confirmed that Prince has been placed on a ventilator. A bullet remains lodged in his brain, making his condition extremely critical. Medical experts stated that the next 24 hours are vital, though the chances of survival in such severe head trauma cases are minimal.

A Family Shattered: Sandeep Kaur was the second of seven sisters and the only hope for her impoverished family. Her elder sister worked as a laborer, and her younger sister sacrificed her own studies to fund Sandeep’s legal education, hoping she would one day support the family. Sandeep was also engaged to be married a year ago. Her life was tragically cut short at 9:30 AM on Monday during what should have been a routine lecture.

Allegations of Police Inaction: The victim’s family has expressed deep distrust in the ongoing investigation. They allege that since Prince belongs to an influential family—his father being an army official—the police are hesitant to act. The family has refused to cremate Sandeep’s body until they receive assurance of a fair trial and the source of the illegal firearm is identified. Tarn Taran police have registered a murder case against Prince as investigations continue.
