Sensation in MP Forest Dept! IFS Officer Vipin Kumar Patel Resigns, Sends Letter to PCCF

In a sudden development that has sent ripples through the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Vipin Kumar Patel has resigned from his post. A dedicated officer of the 2013 batch, Patel was currently stationed in Jabalpur.

Career and Recent Transfer: Vipin Kumar Patel has an illustrious service record, having served as the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) in key districts including Rewa, Satna, Damoh, and Anuppur. The resignation comes shortly after a major reshuffle in the state’s forest services last month. Patel, who was the DFO of Anuppur, was transferred and posted as DFO (Working Plan) in Jabalpur.

The Reason for Departure: Patel submitted his formal resignation to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF). In his letter, the young officer mentioned ‘personal reasons’ for his decision to step down from the esteemed service. While the department is in a state of shock, there is speculation regarding whether the recent change in assignment played a role, though officially, he remains firm on his personal grounds. His departure is seen as a significant loss of young talent in the state’s forest administration.
