Taking a stern view of the recurring fatalities caused by the banned Chinese Manja, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a revolutionary directive. In a high-level meeting held on Thursday, the CM declared that any death resulting from the use of Chinese Manja will no longer be termed an accident but will be registered as ‘Murder’ (Homicide).

Directives for Absolute Enforcement: The Chief Minister has provided clear instructions to the state administration and police force. He emphasized that the ban on Chinese Manja must be implemented with total efficiency. If a fatality occurs due to this lethal string, the police must invoke murder sections against the sellers and individuals involved.

Regular Monitoring and Raids: CM Yogi has mandated continuous raids on markets to identify and dismantle the supply chain of this illegal product. He stated that the safety of citizens is paramount and any negligence at the official level will not be tolerated. High-ranking officials have been tasked with the regular review and monitoring of these enforcement drives.

This unprecedented move is expected to act as a massive deterrent against the illegal trade of synthetic strings, which have claimed numerous lives of commuters and birds across the state.
