You will not have to visit the Income Tax Department, you can fill ITR from home
To file ITR from home, you will first have to go to the department’s portal. There you will have to log in and after that you will have to enter the PAN number and user ID section and then continue.
After that you will have to click on the option of File Income Tax Return. There you will have to go to the e-file tab. You will have to go to Income Tax Returns and click on File Income Tax Return.
After this you have to select the assessment year and choose the filing status, after that you will have to select the ITR form according to you.
After this you will have to choose the option of filing ITR and tell what you are paying tax for.
After that you will have to validate your form. After this you can e-verify it through Aadhaar OTP, EVC, Net Banking.
