Revival of culture, preservation of rich heritage, what has the Modi government done in 11 years?

During the last eleven years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, the country’s cultural progress has been massive. Starting from the Hampi temple in Karnataka, the Modi government has tried to preserve and enrich the heritage of classical music, classical dance.
The Modi government is making efforts to further enrich India’s rich heritage. During its 11 years in office, the Modi government has tried to preserve India’s ancient knowledge through various means. Modern technology has also been used skillfully for this. As a result of this government’s efforts, the true soul of India has been revealed to the world.
The Indian government has been working to preserve India’s cultural heritage and deeply root it in the past few years. The vast Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the Ram Temple in Ayodhya are examples of this. This government is trying to provide modern facilities to pilgrimage sites. Also, the government is trying to revive Indian culture.
What has the government done so far?
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Uttar Pradesh – The government has revived Varanasi by improving the ancient ghats, narrow lanes and access to the temple.
Mahakal Lok Project, Madhya Pradesh – Many renovations have been done in the Mahakaleshwar temple premises. The infrastructure and other facilities have been improved here. This makes the journey of the pilgrims pleasant and comfortable.
Maa Kamakhya Temple, Assam – The government has tried to improve the infrastructure in this temple premises. The government has tried to increase the facilities for the pilgrims to have a spiritual experience for the devotees.
Ram Temple, Ayodhya – The foundation stone of this temple in Ayodhya was laid in August 2020. Also, the temple was inaugurated on 22 January 2024.
Kedarnath Temple, Uttarakhand – The government has installed the idol of Adi Shankaracharya in this temple premises.
Old Somnath Temple, Gujarat- The government is continuing the tradition of reviving the pilgrimage sites of the holy poet Ahilyabai Holkar in this region. A lot of development work has been done in the premises of Parvati Temple, Somnath Temple in Gujarat.
Chardham Highway Project- A lot of improvements have been made on the 5 national highways connecting Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and the Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra Path. 616 km of work has been completed till July 2024. A total of 825 km of roads will be developed under this project.
Hemkund Sahib Ropeway- A 12.4 km ropeway from Govindghat to Hemkund Sahibji in Uttarakhand has been approved. The cost of this project is Rs 2,730.13 crore.
Buddhist Circuit- The government has also decided to develop the Buddhist Circuit. Under this, Rs 87.89 crore has been provided for the development of Sravasti, Kushinagar, Kapilavastu in Uttar Pradesh (2016-17). In addition, Rs 35.24 crore has been provided for the development of Shalihundam, Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh (2017-18). In addition, Rs 95.18 crore has been sanctioned for the Bodh Gaya Convention Centre in Bihar (2016-17). The government has sanctioned Rs 26.68 crore for the development of Junagadh, Bharuch in Gujarat. In addition, Rs 74.02 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Sanchi, Dhar, Rewa in Madhya Pradesh (2016-17).
The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was inaugurated on 9 November 2019. In addition, efforts have been made to allow Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan without a visa.
