The sugarcane planting policy of the retired Bimashankar Sugar Factory for the 2025-26 season has been announced. It will be effective from June 1, 2025.
The factory’s vice-president, Advocate Pradeep Walse Patil, said that the factory is implementing an ambitious sugarcane development project called ‘Dattatreya Govindrao Walse Patil Sugarcane Production Growth Target 2020’.
Permission has been given to plant and register sugarcane in Co.M.0265 from June 1, 2025 to October 30, 2025 and Co.86032 from June 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
Permission has been given to plant VSI 08005 sugarcane from August 1, 2025 to the end of April 30, 2026.
From September 1, 2025 to the end of April 30, 2026, M.S. 10001, Co. 9057 sugarcane planting permission has been given.
Co. VSI 18121, Phule Us 15001, Phule Us 15006, Phule Us 13007, Co.M. 11082 and other proposed sugarcane planting permission has been given from 1 June 2025 to 30 April 2026.
Seeds will be distributed as per the planting policy from 1 June 2025 as per the demand of the members under the factory and sugarcane growers and registration of individual sugarcane planting will be taken.
For this, the sugarcane farmers will have to submit 7/12 extracts and necessary documents to the concerned divisional agricultural office.
Farmers who plant sugarcane individually will have to go to the concerned group office within four days to register their sugarcane.
After that, the date of registration will be considered as the date of sugarcane planting for the sugarcane growers who come to register their sugarcane planting late.
Purchase of humni insect beetles
Farmers interested in participating in the sugarcane crop competition will have to register their names for the competition by depositing an entry fee of 100 taka by December 2025. Under the Integrated Pest Management Project, the bollworm larvae collected by farmers for controlling bollworms in sugarcane crops will be purchased by the factory at a price of Tk 300 per kilogram till the end of June 2025.
