The tragic event occurred in a village in Yamunanagar when a seven-year-old, a fourth-grade student, innocently left home to play. She was playing with her friends by the canal, as she did every day.

But that day, a monster targeted her innocence. A young man from the same village, Zeeshan, lured the child to a secluded spot with the promise of food and subjected her to cruelty that shames humanity. He left the child in a critical condition and fled the scene.

Local shepherds, witnessing the child’s state, immediately informed the family, who then reported the horrific incident to the police. The police acted swiftly, sending the child to the hospital for medical examination, where her condition is critical.

The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and are searching for the absconding accused. This incident has spread panic throughout the area, and people are demanding strict punishment.

This is not the first such incident in Yamunanagar. Last year, a similar act of barbarity and murder occurred involving a child in Dasoura village, Chhachhrauli, where the court punished the culprit. However, the repeated occurrence of such incidents highlights the growing insecurity and danger to children in society.

This serves as a lesson for all of us that we should not leave our children alone and must refrain from trusting strangers.

Police have stated that they will arrest the accused as soon as possible and strive to ensure the harshest possible punishment.
