Wife Was in a Hurry, Husband’s Insistence Took a Horrific Turn

The woman, who lives in a densely populated area of Chembur, works as a domestic helper. On Friday, as she was preparing for her daily work, her husband Dinesh Avhad demanded to have physical relations with her. The woman refused, stating she needed to leave quickly for work. Enraged, Dinesh initially started arguing with her, which quickly escalated into violence. An RCF Police Station official stated that the argument intensified to such an extent that in a fit of rage, the woman poured kerosene on herself but stopped before lighting it. It was then that Dinesh took a burning piece of paper from the gas oven and threw it at his wife, causing her to sustain severe burns.

Immediately Hospitalized, Condition Critical

Following the incident, locals immediately admitted the woman to Sion Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. According to doctors, the woman’s condition is very critical, and she requires intensive care. Based on the woman’s complaint, RCF Police Station has arrested Dinesh Avhad. He has been charged under sections of the Indian Penal Code for attempted murder and other offenses.
