Double disaster in the dead of night! Another train accident in Russia, fell onto the road with the bridge. Was sabotage behind it?

Within a night, it seems a curse has befallen Russia’s railways. Just hours after a horrific train accident in Bryansk, bad news struck again. This time, a freight train collapsed in the Kursk region while crossing a bridge. Although the bridge and the freight train plummeted, no casualties have been reported so far. However, Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshteyn stated that the freight train fell onto the road below the bridge.

Governor Alexander told the media, “Last night, a freight train was crossing a bridge in the Zheleznogorovsky district. At that time, the train collapsed along with the freight train. Some parts of the train fell onto the road below the bridge.” Fire broke out in the freight train immediately after the accident, which rescuers later brought under control. The driver of the freight train is reported to be injured, and several other train personnel have been taken to the hospital.

It is noteworthy that Russia’s Kursk district is also located in an area bordering Ukraine. Many suspect a conspiracy behind these consecutive train accidents in Bryansk and then Kursk.

Earlier on Saturday night, a bridge collapsed onto a moving passenger train in Bryansk. At least seven people died and around 70 were injured in that accident, including children. The Russian government has launched an investigation into both incidents.

According to local media reports, as the passenger train in Bryansk was passing under the bridge, a section of the bridge collapsed onto the train, causing the engine and several carriages to derail. However, Russian Railways authorities are reluctant to consider this incident merely an accident. They stated on Telegram that there was “illegal interference in railway operations.”

Furthermore, the conspiracy theory regarding the bridge collapsing onto the train is gaining strength. Russian private Telegram channels Baza and SHOT claimed that the bridge did not collapse but was blown up by an explosion. Eyewitnesses stated that the bridge suddenly collapsed onto the moving train. At that time, a truck was also crossing the bridge, which also crashed forcefully onto the train. Train carriages were crushed under the truck, and the cries of children were heard. However, the Russian government has not yet commented on this matter.

However, Andrei Klishas, a member of the upper house of the Russian parliament, made a suggestive comment on Telegram. He wrote, “Ukraine is a country that has become a hotbed of terror.” Reuters reported that Russian military affairs writer Semyon Pegov claimed sabotage was behind the Bryansk accident. In the context of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine since February 2022, border areas like Bryansk and Kursk have witnessed frequent shelling and drone attacks. Therefore, the conspiracy theory regarding these train accidents cannot be ruled out.
