Emraan Hashmi Rushed to Hospital Mid-Shoot, Dengue Strikes Actor-Filming Halted!

Emraan Hashmi’s performance in ‘Ground Zero,’ released last April, garnered significant praise from both film critics and audiences. Following its success, he began shooting for Pawan Kalyan’s pan-India film ‘OG.’ However, during the filming of ‘OG,’ the actor suddenly fell severely ill, leading to his urgent hospitalization in Mumbai. Reports indicate that Emraan started feeling unwell while shooting for ‘OG’ in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony. Upon admission to the hospital, multiple tests confirmed that he has contracted dengue fever. The production house stated that the actor had been experiencing some symptoms even before his hospitalization. With a surge in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai and a worrying increase in dengue infections during the monsoon season, Emraan was promptly admitted to the hospital without delay. Sources close to the actor have confirmed that he is currently under strict medical observation and is steadily recovering.
‘OG’ marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in the Telugu film industry, where he is set to play a pivotal role. The film is slated for a worldwide release on September 25th of this year. However, Emraan’s illness has caused a delay in the film’s shooting schedule. The production house is now eagerly awaiting the actor’s swift recovery so that filming can resume. In addition to ‘OG,’ Emraan has several other projects in his pipeline. In March, on his birthday, he announced the sequel to his acclaimed film ‘Awarapan,’ with shooting expected to commence by the end of July.
