Get ready for an electrifying cricket season as the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) unveiled the stunning new jerseys for all 10 of its franchise teams in a grand ceremony held in Gwalior on Tuesday. The highly anticipated second season is all set to kick off on June 12th at the glorious Srimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, Gwalior – the very same venue that hosted the inaugural MPL T20 season last year. This spectacular event showcased the looks for both men’s and women’s teams, attracting a galaxy of players, team officials, and distinguished personalities from across the state, all buzzing with excitement for the upcoming matches.

This year, the MPL is expanding its horizons! The number of men’s teams participating in this thrilling 20-20 over cricket league, organized by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, has increased from 5 to 7. For the first time ever, teams from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions will be making their debut, adding a fresh competitive edge to the league. But that’s not all – this season also marks the exciting launch of the women’s cricket league, running concurrently with the men’s matches. This inaugural women’s competition will feature three dynamic teams, including a formidable squad from Bhopal. Mahanaaryaman Scindia, Chairman of the MPL, expressed his enthusiasm, stating that the successful jersey unveiling “signals the start of an exciting season,” and that the league has truly become a “celebration of cricket talent and regional pride.” GDCA President Prashant Mehta echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the jerseys represent the “spirit of their regions” and expressing confidence in unearthing new talent this year. The men’s teams battling it out are Gwalior Cheetahs, Jabalpur Royal Lions, Bhopal Leopards, Indore Pink Panthers, Rewa Jaguars, Chambal Gharials, and Bundelkhand Bulls, while the women’s teams include Chambal Gharials, Bhopal Wolves, and Bundelkhand Bulls. Get ready for some thrilling cricket action!
