Bijapur, Karnataka: At least six people died in a horrific road accident this morning in Karnataka’s Bijapur district. The tragic incident occurred due to a head-on collision involving two passenger vehicles and a private bus.

According to police sources, the accident took place today morning in Managuli village, Basavana Bagevadi taluk, Bijapur.

A private bus reportedly lost control and collided with two SUVs in succession. The impact of the collision was so severe that all six occupants of the SUVs died at the scene. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.

Bijapur Police Officer Laxman Nimbaragi confirmed the accident, stating, “One SUV was traveling from Bijapur towards Solapur. It collided with a private bus, leading to this accident. Unfortunately, six people have died in the incident.”

Upon receiving news of the accident, police quickly arrived at the scene and launched rescue operations. The injured have been transferred to a local hospital, but detailed information regarding their condition is not yet available. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
