Iran-US tension: Trump’s threat, ‘If you don’t listen, we will send you to hell’

Washington: US President Donald Trump has sternly warned Iran that if it does not back down from the nuclear arms race, it will have to face serious consequences. Ahead of the US-Iran talks in Oman on Saturday, Trump said, “Iran will have to choose—either accept our terms, or go to hell.” This statement reflects the growing tension between the two countries, especially when Iran has accelerated uranium enrichment, breaking the limits of the 2015 nuclear deal. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said, “The President’s goal is clear—to stop Iran from making nuclear weapons. Diplomacy is the first priority, but all options are open.”

The relations between the two countries soured after Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018 and the killing of General Qassim Soleimani in 2020. The Hamas-Israel war in Gaza and Trump’s new tariffs put Iran’s economy under further pressure. Astrologer Pandit Ajay Sharma said, “This dialogue can be decisive for global peace.” Local analyst Ramesh Thakur said, “Iran is under pressure, but it will not bow down easily.” All eyes are now on the meeting in Oman, where the future roadmap can be decided.
