Hyperloop under development in Chennai

All the electronic technology for the Hyperloop project will be developed at the Chennai ICF, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said. Various countries have conducted studies on the Hyperloop technology, which is expected to become a high-speed land transport system faster than air. The IIT Madras is also involved in this research with the funding of the Railways.

The longest route in Asia

This Hyperloop transport technology, which is currently being developed, has yielded good results in the tests so far. India will soon be ready for Hyperloop transport. Till now, the Union Railway Ministry has been providing financial and technical assistance to the Hyperloop project. Now, the entire electronics technology of this Hyperloop project will be developed at the ICF, Chennai. Developed with the help of IIT, Madras, it will be the longest Hyperloop testbed in Asia. It is 410 meters long.
