A strange incident has recently come to light in Jagatballabhpur, Howrah, where a controversy has started over the demands of a toto driver.

According to local sources, a woman named Papiya Manna was returning home from Domjur after finishing work. After boarding a toto on Domjur-Munsirhat road, the driver told her, “You are fat, so you have to pay double the fare.” Although surprised, the woman was forced to accept the driver’s demand.

But the problem started when another passenger came and sat in the seat next to Papiya. Despite this, the driver was adamant in demanding double the fare. When she protested, an argument broke out. The verbal battle reached its climax in the moving toto.

Papiya Manna said, “As soon as I got into the car, the driver said, ‘You have to pay double the fare because I am fat. I am sick, so I agreed. But when another passenger got in, the driver still said I have to pay double the fare. This is completely unfair!”

People in the area also protested the incident, resulting in traffic jams on the road.

The Toto driver also admitted that he had asked for double the fare. However, he could not give a proper explanation as to why he made such a demand. The incident has created quite a stir in the area.
