Ahead of the Holi festival, thousands of ATMs across various cities in India are running out of cash, leading to severe difficulties for the public. With increased demand for cash during the festive season, the situation has worsened.

According to Moneycontrol, ATM service provider AGS Transact Technologies is facing a severe financial crisis. Employees of the company have not received salaries for months, resulting in their reluctance to refill ATMs with cash. This has particularly affected ATMs operated by SBI, ICICI, and Axis Bank.

Experts warn that if the issue is not resolved soon, the cash shortage could lead to even greater inconvenience for people as the festival approaches.
